Frequently asked questions
What is an eSIM?
A digital SIM card built into your phone. You install a profile directly on the phone, with no plastic card.
Do I need to create an account?
No. Enter your email, pay, done. No sign-up, no credit check, no passwords to remember.
Does it work with my phone?
Most phones from 2018 onwards support eSIM: iPhone XS+, Samsung S20+, Google Pixel 3+. Take the self-check at merdata.no/enheter to be sure.
Do I lose my own number?
No. The eSIM is added as an extra profile. Your existing number keeps working for calls, SMS and iMessage.
Do streaming and banking services from home work?
Usually, yes. The eSIM is a pure data line, and services from home such as online banking, email and apps work as normal. Traffic may be routed through an international hub, so a few streaming services with strict licensing rules can in theory require a home-country IP — but for everyday browsing, maps and social media you won't notice a difference.
How quickly do I get the eSIM?
Your eSIM appears right after payment and is emailed to you. Install in one tap on the same phone, or use QR on another device. It typically takes 1–3 minutes.
How can I pay?
Card, Apple Pay, Google Pay and Vipps all work. We never run a credit check, whichever way you pay.
What if it doesn't work?
We refund in full if the eSIM can't be delivered. Reach us via chat or email.
Are taxes included in the price?
Yes. The displayed price is always final — no mandatory charges are added at payment. The receipt shows VAT where applicable.
Can I cancel my purchase?
Yes. An unactivated eSIM is refunded in full at any time before activation (within the package's installation window) — that's more than the law requires. If you activate and withdraw within 14 days of purchase, we refund minus a deduction for what's been delivered. And if something doesn't work, we'll help you get connected — if we can't fix it, you get your money back.
